EPS Germany XII reach finals

The 12th EPS season in Germany has reached its finals, being played this weekend in Cologne, Germany.

As a tradition, the EPS season finish off with the finals being played at LAN. Cologne will be hosting this 12th EPS season finals at EXPO XXI. A lot more than Counter-Strike 1.6 will find place at the finals, a total of 5 games will have its season finals this weekend with a total prize purse of 170.000€. Four teams made the cut and advanced to the finals. The two German giants, mousesports and Alternate struggled during the season to gather enough points but managed to catch up in the end.

Among the teams that really kicked off the reason with a big bang and dominated everyone for the first few weeks, we do not see one of the attending the finals. hoorai started with thunder and lightning, but fell apart in the end and could not keep up with the rest of the teams. In the run to make it to the finals along with Alternate and mousesports, pod.hama, TBH.eSports and n!faculty were the three candidates. n!faculty also started the season looking really good, the team managed to finish second in the regular season. pod.hama will be the last participant attending the EPS finals. The team ended up just one point ahead of TBH.eSports, who would see their chances of EPS finals wash away.

Semi-finals will be played this Friday, with n!faculty and Alternate opening the finals at 19:00 CET. mousesports and pod.hama will play their semi-final at 23:30 CET. Both semi-finals will be played on de_dust2.
